The oil light serves two functions...when the oil is low or the oil pressure drops to an unsafe level. Please have the oil pump checked to make certain the pump is not going out. If the oil pump is fine and the oil level is full, then it could just be a short in the wire for the light.

How can i reset oil change button?2003 model Toyota hillux extra cap

Turn the ignition key to 'ON' and press the odometer button until the display reads ODO (not Trip A or B).
Turn the ignition key to OFF.
Hold in the same button you used in step 1.
While holding the button in, turn the ignition key to ON.
The ODOMETER will change to:
5 dashes - - - - -
Then 4 dashes - - - -
Then 3 dashes - - -
Then 2 dashes - -
Then 1 dash -
THEN all zeros 0 0 0 0 0
Then back to the correct mileage.
Then the Maintenance Required light should blink and go out.

Low oil press AFTER oil/filter change

sounds like your pump is failing, or it could be the sending unit giving a bad reading. Has nothing to do with having changed the oil .

Oil light trailblazer

Check oil pressure with a gauge. The sender is electronic and could be the issue. Also oil filter could have a bad check valve. Change the oil filter, oil and sender. If the problem is still there you have worn engine bearings and major issues are coming your way.

07 camry oil filter location v6

The oil filter is no longer a "spin-on" type filter. Toyota has changed to the "cartridge" type filters that are in a cylindrical housing on the engine. You need to remove the filter housing to access the cartridge. Make sure that you replace the o-rings that come out with the cartridge filter with the new ones supplied in the new filter box. To reset the light, follow these directions:

Turn the key ON, do not start the engine.

Look at the odometer, and verify that it displays "TRIP A". If it is on "ODO" or "Trip B", press the black stick next to the odometer to read "TRIP A".

Turn the key OFF.

Press in, and HOLD the black trip meter reset button, hold it IN.
DO not release it.

Turn the key ON, do not start the engine

Observe the Odometer display. You will see 5 dashes, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 dash, and finally, 5 zeros. Then, whatever number that was displayed on "TRIP A" will be re-displayed..

Now release the black trip meter reset stick.

This completes the reset procedure, and it will be back on in 5,000 miles, to remind you of you next oil change.
