An orifice is located on every part produced that carries air, fuel, water and gases.
Generally when someone askls about an orifice they are speaking of the orifice tube, which is a removal screen type air conditioning filter in the high pressure liquid side of the a/c line, It filters the liquid refrigerant and meters the liquid entering the evap. coil which causes a drop in pressure and causes the liquid to boil and absorb heat from the interior of the car and transfer it to the atmosphere outside. If you are not knowledgeable of a/c work and the how to's of charging the system, I would recommend leaving the repair/replacement up to an a/c tech.
High pressure freon can cause injury and be a hazard to the atmospere if left to spend into the air.
Hope this helps.
