I'm sure it's not, but check to see if the battery is connected backwards. It is theoretically possible that the engine was started in reverse, then the reason your fuses popped.
Otherwise, the popping of a fuse is indicating that there is something not right with the wiring causing a short.

What's the engine compresion ? sitting that long can cause engine ring problem , Did you clean the injectors or replace . fuel gummed up ! Clean fuel lines . Or when you parked it did you run it till fuel ran out , pulled fuel pump fuse ? Squirt some oil into the cylinders an turn it over a few times . These are a few thing's that should be done before leaving a vehicle to sit. Flush out fuel lines too

I own a 2004 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L V6 2WD. On saturday it died on me. at first i thought it might be the fuel pump because the engine turned over but wouldn't engage. Gas level was good as was the battery. ...

my problem was electrical, removing the batt (neg. terminal) for a few seconds resets the Engine Control Module (ECM) which operates the full pump relay, there should be a fuse in the relay box in under the hood labeled ECM or ECU. Pulling that fuse for 10 secs. or so also resets the ECM, try this and if it immediately works I suggest to drive it locally until it will not start again and repeat the removal of the ECM fuse. If this work out I suggest that you ECM is receiving a sensor signal to shut down the pump relay so I've been told, is the check engine lite on

Is the Check Engine Light on? If so, can you get a code reader to read the codes and report back what they are?

When you get in the car and turn the key just to the "On" position, do you hear the fuel pump wining for a few moments?

We need to determine if the issue is spark or fuel. Fuel pump failures occur to cause what you describe, without any indication of what has failed. I have had success in determining if it's fuel pump be removing the fuel pressure regulator, covering with a gag, and having someone turn the key on momentarily while I watch for fuel to pump out of the fuel regulator location. Be careful though, this is raw gasloline and flammable.

Suburban dies at highway speed

It sounds like a fuel pump getting weak and hot. First check the ground wire at the fuel pump pigtail. and replace the fuel fiter.

Fuel pump in my 97 rodeo works if i wire it to the battery, but does not work when i plug it in where it belongs.I've checked the fuses and they all look fine.

Same thing happened to me on my 1996 isuzu rodeo. My fuel pump worked part of the time. I actually bought a new one, then tested the old one when I removed it. Like you, I hard-wired it to the battery. It turned out to still be good.

It turned out to be a bad ground connection from the fuel pump. You can check it by --- 1) hooking the fuel pump back up where it belongs, 2) splicing a wire from the ground wire coming from the fuel pump and 3) grounding the wire (loosen a bolt head on the undercarriage, stick the stripped wire tip between a bolthead and undercarriage surface, then rachet the bolt head back tight. Then 4) just turn the ingnition key and see if the fuel pump engages and the engine starts.

Good luck!

99 rodeo ran out of gas now no start

If you can hear the pump run and you get no fuel its the pump, If it blew the fuse i would say the pump tied up. That happens when you run around on empty a lot, gas is what keeps pumps cool when you run under 1/8 of a tank pump is not submerged in gas to keep cool hense pump burns up.
