My 2001 dodge caravan sport has headlight issues. It is equipped with daytime running lights and also driving/fog lights below. The problem is that one of my headlights burned out so I replaced it. That did not solve the problem. Only one headlight will come on at a time wether on low or high beam. They switch from low beam on daytime running on the passenger side to low beam on the drivers side when lights are manually turned on by driver . Not sure if relay is faulty or something in computer?

Headlights go off at night cannot get them to go onat night often will work during day

I would pull the main headlight switch out and check it for burning, that is the most common issue for this type of problem with the headlights coming and going.

Was the dodge caravan 2002 equipped with daytime running lights?

You can tell by looking at the headlight switch. Without daytime running lights, the switch only has 3 positions, "Off","park" and "headlights" with daytime there is a fourth position to use or not to use the daytime lights.

We have a 2006 Dodge Caravan and the headlights and taillights are not working. There are no fuses, what could be the problem?

There's main fuses under the hood. Other possibilty is a bad headlight switch or daytime running light module.

Headlights alternate on and off left and right daytime/high beam

although the underhood relay panel is common, I'd check your headlamp bulbs first, these are cheaper than the fuse box. The daytime running lights work off the high beam circuit, thus, a blown highbeam bulb could be the culprit, the fusebox solution was more common on 2001 and up modles, although it's a definite possibility.
