1. Check to make sure all connections are tight. Loose connections can cause lose of power to starter.

2. check starter is not damaged. Locate starter and make sure it hasn't been damaged by road debris.

If connections are good, no visible damage to starter, and assuming engine isn't locked up, have a mechanic take a look at it. It could be the starter itself is the problem.

Double check your starter wires. They might be flip flopped.

The Solenoid is located on the starter. Typically the solenoid/starter are replaced as one unit. Before you go replacing anything, rule out bad connections ,bad cables. Check all connections at battery. Especially check the ground connections from battery to engine block. See if the starter has a ground wire and check it. Check for corrosion in battery cables. Check connections on the starter, both the smaller wire and the larger cable from the battery. If you disconnect any of these wires, first disconnect the negative cable on the battery. Mechanics know how to 'jump start' the starter directly form the battery. If you know how to do this- try it. If you don't know how - DON"T TRY IT! What you can try is to connect a jumper cable from the NEGATIVE terminal of the battery to the BODY of the starter, not to any of the wires, and see if the car starts. This little test will rule out a ground problem

The clicking noise is the starter relay, which sends power to the starter. sometimes the relay is mounted on the starter, sometimes on the fender. I would say the starter is bad and needs replaced. Sometimes you can get a bad starter from the factory. Just because its not that old, or even brand new, doesn't mean that its a good working starter. Replace that starter.

No power to starter circuit.The starter gets power from battery to start.So check the connection between battery to starter.As you mentioned battery is new ,but still get the battery voltage checked.It should be 12 volts if battery is fully charged.If battery shows 12 volt then check the connection terminal from battery to starter.If connection checked ok then its most probably the problem of faulty starter.It has to be replaced.But if the starter checked out ok by meter, then the problem relates to faulty ignition switch circuit causing this problem.Checking all this possibilities will rule out the exact faulty part causing the problem.----------Thanks.Helpmech.

check starter relay @ look for burnt fusable links around starter area also check starter connections on starter.

Check if you get power from ignition switch to starter solenoid, direct on top of the starter motor, if not, try to link the starter solenoid with a direct wire from battery plus. if you connect the solenoid with a wire, it need to pull the starter in and switch the starter on. if that work, check wiring from solenoid to ignition switch. if that doesn't work, remove the starter and check them out side the car or have them checked from a specialist. if wracked, replace the starter motor.

Starter soleniod may be bad check the connections at the starter to ensure that there are good connections if so replace the starter solenoid, then if that does not work replace the starter.

the starter solind is sticking try taping the starter and see if it works if not replace or check starter realey
