Hi Ben,

Air in the line. Be sure the steering fluid level is up to the fill line.

Turn the wheel to the stops both ways a couple times.

Check the level again.

Repeat until the level remains static,

Best regards
Mike

4020 steering to the right is lazy , steering to the left is good , hydraulic system holds 2000 lbs. good any idea of problem and how to fix. gear shift is under steering wheel pretty sure a 69 model.

Have you had this tractor for some time or is it a recent acquisition? The JD 4020 1969 serial numbers go from 201100-222159. Lazy power steering to one side has two commom possibilities, internal leakage in the control valve, Or, if the front end had been worked on, the tie-rods were not set to center the steering wheel when setting the toe-in. If that is the case, and the steering wheel is properly centered when driving straight or has fewer turns turning right than when turning left, the steering wheel was re-centered by removing it and resetting it on the steering shaft spline, in which case it is rarely perfectly centered. If that is the case, the control valve may not open much and restricts oil flow when turning right.
It is possible the steering cylinder piston seal leaks in one direction more than the other, or that the front wheel toe-in is wrong.

Why does the steering wheel locks when I try to make a left or right turn in my 2002 Lincoln LS? What is wrong when I hear a grinding noise coming from the engine when I try to make a turn?

the grinding noise is from the steering pump going into overload and the pressure relief valve is working. If you have recently worked on the pump or steering check that the hydraulic lines have correctly installed It appears that when turning right the steering is trying to turn left.

Whats wrong with my 2004 yukon when it doesnt turn right?

This sounds like a bad valve in the rack and pinon. I just had a simalar problem on a Mitsubishi .. I replaced the rack with a A1 Cardone rebuilt rack and it cured the problem.. Rebuilding a rack is a job better left to the pro rebuilders.. you can call the teck line for A1 cardone and ask them what they think.

I replaced my power steering pump in my 1994 toyota pick up and the power steering still won't work? What else could be wrong?

If you are saying the steering is difficult to turn you could have a blocked hose or a problem in the gearbox.
Or something in the front suspension such as a faulty ball joint.

Replaced power steering pump in 2004 accord. Steering goes in and out while driving. rev up motor to about 2000rmp and steering works fine. belt appears to be tight and in good shape.

Low on fluid ?? Air in system?? wrong type of fluid?? bad pump?? while car is running and in "park" try turning wheel from left to right all the way in both dirrections,, do this a few times then check for any leaks... then with engine "off" check your fluid level... if nothing fixes the problem then concider this> bad pump "OR" bad steering rack!! Oh please make sure that none of your power steering hoses are kincked or squashed restricking the lines !!!. Good Luck!!

Transmission problem

My opinion is strain yes damage no. You know when you turn the wheel all the way to one side the tires are "grinding" into the pavement this causes you to give it a little extra gas to get the car to move...right? But I don't think that would cause damage. If I'm wrong then you have the worlds' worst engineered car!

Turning lock to lock as you describe is making the steering pump work hard since the wheels are stuck to the pavement.

I'm calling it B.S.

Steering problem

check your power steering belt. it may have broke or slipped off the pulley. if it seems ok check your fluid level. if it is still at normal operating level for hot or cold then your power steering pump may have just seized up and you may have to replace it.
