Rear disk brakes ,easly changed because the hand brake is inside the drum in the disk ,so just push out the pins and then push piston in on one side and renew pad then do the same on the other side of the piston .

1992 volvo brakes rear brakes started smoking. There was also a burning smell? Any ideas?

rear disc can be activated by bad fluid heating up. If there is moisture in the brake fluid it can make steam and cause the rear brakes to partially engage. did this one myself at the brake shop.

91 Volvo 240 wagon. Right side brake lights do not work. All other lights work. Bulb is good. Fuse is good. Drivers side fine. I replaced the driver's side rear cluster that is when i noticed the brake...

dirty corroded ground either at wire to body or bulb socket where bulb is inserted look for dirt and corrosion. If available use a noid light and a brick to apply brakes to check for power at bulb socket
