There are special dealer tools required for this and would be very difficult with out them you must obtain a t 20 torx screw driver up to 8 in + to release the handle, open the door and at he latched side you will see black plastic body plugs use a flashlight to see inside, move handle back and forth to see screw operation

I am trying to remove the L/H Rear outer Door Handle on a 2009 Renault Koleos Dynamic 2.5L

You have to remove the door panels and this takes special tools. Then you remove the window and then you can get to the door handle mounting bolts. It might just be the linkage to the latch from the handle.

07 BMW 750I HOW TO REMOVE OUTER DOOR HANDLE

To remove the outer handle, open the door and while looking at the edge of the door with it open, you should be looking at the side that the door latch lever is on, look near the top area and you should see a small black plastic oval piece. Remove that piece. Take a flash light and look inside the hole. There will be a brass lever inside with a small hole. Use a pick and insert in the brass slide. If you either push or pull the lever to or away, it will release the outer handle assembly. The assembly levers upwards when removing.

The rear door will not open from outside or inside

Your lock cylinder has fail in what is called central arrest which it mechanically disengages both inner and outer door handles to work. We at the dealer can try and command the GM module which controls that actuator to try and release central arrest. But if it fails to respond the only way to access the lock cylinder is by removing the door panel from the inside of the vehicle, which is very dificult to do, so cost wise it can be double the labor cost if the door can be opened. At our dealer it would be like 2.5hrs to do.

TRYING TO REMOVE A REAR DOOR OUTER HANDLE

Lower hole in the door jamb loosten allen screw until the cap comes off. Upper hole there is a #20 torx slightly down and inboard of the hole, you need a really long torx bit and pull the handle out slightly. It also helps to pull weatherstrip loose so you can see it.
