Where is thermostat located on BMW 750LI
Follow top radiator hose to the engine. It connects to the thermostat. It is a plastic housing with an electrical connector. If you need to replace it, just go get a new one and then you can see right away where it is on the car.
Rear privacy shade problem
Hi RJO. The drive is the slide and mechanism complete. It requires the rear seat back and seat bottom to come out. Both the rear c-pillar covers and rear partial shelf come out to. In the mean time, you can manually help it lower. Get another person to press the button to lower while you hold the folding rails in each hand. You need to help the rail pivot and guide in place as it lowers.
WILL TURN OVER BUT WILL NOT START

-11 2 001 See: Toolsand Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller
-112 002 See: Toolsand Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller
-112 003 See: Toolsand Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller
-112 007 See: Toolsand Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller

Necessary preliminary tasks:
-Remove lower timing case cover See: Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Removing
and Installing Bottom Timing Case Cover (N62 / N62TU)

Remove timing chain (1).
Remove timing chain (5).
Release screws (7).
Remove guide rails (3 and 6).
Remove tensioning rails (2 and 4).
Installation:
Maintain tension of timing chains when installing timing case cover.
Observe sparking protection on timing case cover.
Make sure timing chain (1) is correctly installed when placing it in guide rail (3).

Attach special tools 11 2 001 See: Tools and Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller and 11 2 002 See:
Tools and Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller to crankshaft.
Insert special tool 112 007 See: Tools and Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller and remove
sprocket wheel with special tool 112 003 See: Tools and Equipment/ll 2 000 Puller.
Installation:
Check sprocket wheels for wear, replace if necessary.
Heat sprocket wheel to 60 CC.
Warning!
Burning hazard! Wear gloves.

Assemble engine.
