UN hook your fuel line up by motor and try to start it if no fuel squirts out you got one that's no good!! If it's from AZ it happens from time to time.
The problem with running out of gas is, the driver keeps trying to start the engine when the tank is emptyand it burns up the fuel pump. Turn the key on and listen very closely for a hum or buzz coming from the back or underneath the car. This would indicate the pump is running, No soundmay mean the pump is not running. Find the fuel pump relay on the fuse block under the hood and swap it with another relay to see if that has any effect. Also check the fuse panel for a blown fuse. If all else fails, get a can of starting fluid, remove the air filter, and spray the fluid into the intake duct while at the same time craning the starter, The engine should start. If it starts and dies, do this 3 or 4 times. If the engine still wont stay running, you may have to replace the fuel pump.
try replacing the coolant tempreture sensor.it may always think its hot so it provides a lean start mix. its cheap and easy to change. just be very careful not to over torque. use a TORQUE WRENCH or you may crack the caseing. if you have obd2 software you can read the sensor to see if its working before replacing.
Stop spraying starting fluid! Check the fuse for the fuel pump first. Sounds like you have lost voltage signal to the fuel rail. Turn the key on and loosen one of the fuel line connections to see if there is pressure, ware safety glasses! Keep me posted......
