Right front turn signal bulb went out, so I replaced it. The bulb works for signaling, but does not stay on when I have my lights on like it is supposed to. What could be wrong? Does this sound like a fuse?

Use a test light, test for power and ground at the bulb contacts. Then test for power and ground at the wires. Probably needs a new socket, common problem.
Check the wires to the plug. You can remove the plug by pressing on the wire clip and pulling apart. Check the terminals for corrosion and clean them if corroded/rusty, then assemble. Remove the bulb and check corrosion on the bulb contacts in the bulb socket and reassemble. Turn the lights on and try wiggling the wires and ttwisting the bulb slightly to check contact, while the bulb receptacle is out of the brake light. If the light comes back on when you have done these things then this may have been the problem. Try using a dielectric grease on the wiring connections and in the socket of the bulb to alleviate any more issues.(I have a contour also so this was the problem with mine) Wayne
are you sure the bulb is good? have you had the steering column out recently? if so make sure the plug going into your switch isnt being pulled as it will cause a bad connection. but it sounds like you need a new turn signal switch
Check the left side of the vehicle for a blown bulb or incorrect bulb in one of the sockets. The fast flash is a signal to tell you something is wrong with that side
Your turn signal flasher needs to be replaced (the hazard flasher is separate unit). Your owners manual should have the location of the turn signal flasher (usually on the fuse block under the dash).
