There was a recall due to the clockspring being wound incorrectly. If the repair was not made, this could cause the horn and cruise control to quit functioning and the air bag light to stay on.
A test light is great for testing all fuses without pulling 1 by one. $5-$10 at autoparts or hardware store, will save you tons of aggravation in the end, and you'll always have it for later use.
Hello, and thank you for choosing fixya.com. There could be a few reasons why your horn doesn't work. First, check the horn fuse in the fuse box (this should be located under or in the dash on the left or right side of the steering wheel. If the fuse is good, procede to check the horn relay (this could be under the dash or under the hood) check the owners manual, service repair manual, or your local auto parts dealer. If it is found that the relay is good as well, check all the wriring to the horn (usually mounted at the front of the vechicle under the hood. follow the wiring as best as you can checking that the connection are clean and secure. You can test the horn, by diconnecting the wires (if two are available) . With some spare wire, run one wire as a ground from the ground on the battery to the ground on the horn, do the same for the posotive. If the horn sound, it may just be an electrical issue at the back of the fuse box, or the wiring may be damaged and shorting out somewhere.
