You have a bad ground wire problem somewhere. The hot wire to the brake lights is back feeding into the other wires. My be in the taillights. I have seen people install a trailer light hook up plug and wire it wrong also that will make this happen. Good luck!

Tail lights not working

All of the marker and tail lights are powered from a 15amp fuse going thru the headlight switch on a brown wire. Do you have power from that circuit coming out of the headlight switch ?

Problem with F 750

Running lights, marker lights, and dash lights all come from the park light switch of the head light switch. So, possibly you need a new headlight switch. Or, if you have a voltmeter, you can do some testing of circuits to see where power is and where lost. Also check the fuse for tail lights and horn.

The only thing that both the brake lights and tail lights use is a ground connection. Keep in mind the warning light on the dash may be for any exterior lamp. You may need to check the sockets and grounds on all four corners of the car.

The marker lights, brake lights, dash lights, power windows, power locks, radio and heater dont work

When you release the brake pedal, there is a switch underneath the brake pedal that disconnects the circuit to your brake lights causing your brake lights to switch off. Sometimes this brake light switch will go bad and need replacement. If your brake light stays on after you turn your car or truck off and you don't want to run your battery down, you may be able to get down underneath the brake pedal and manually pull up on the brake light switch to deactivate it until you can get it repaired.
