Make sure you have one working ignition key and all remotes for the vehicle.

2) Insert the key into the ignition.
3) Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release in step 9.
4) Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.
5) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine).
6) Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
7) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
8) Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
9) Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically.
10) Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks and unlocks. This step may take up to 30 seconds.
11) Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).

Truck door will not unlock

Can't you just replace the battery in the remote. Is there a key slot in the passenger door as well as the driver's door?

My son has 2009 silverado extended cab with 22000 miles, he left his amp on and the battery went dead, so I took my 2009 silverado and tried to jump it. When I turned the key on the display lit up but once...

When a battery is totally dead a jump start will take time. The dead battery needs to come back up to at least 8 volts before it will start. Leave you jumper cables hooked up for a half hour or so and try again. What you really need is a battery charger, even once you get it running the alternator is going to have to run for a really long time to fully charge this battery. Also, you should be able to connect the amp to go off with the deck, it's a little more work but it is well worth the effort.

You need to charge it until the gauge reads 0. If your battery has been dead for that long it could well be ruined and need to be replaced. Be sure to take the charger off before you try to start the engine or you could burn out your charger.
