1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo stalls when foot is not on gas pedal. Starts up fine, runs fine until it gets up to normal temp. Then will run ragged and stall out while driving, coasting, coming to a stop, etc....

yes
sure
XJ jeep, USA? or ? where?
NO VIN OR ENGINE TOLD AND IS A PURE ENGINE QUESTION. 4.0LITER INLINE SIX>? or 2.5?
SURE MY JEEPS DID THIS VAST TIMES FROM, 1988 TO NOW. (WELL NOT MY 2010 EVER)
back back long ago he ISC clogs up ever, 10,000 miles
and will not idle ,lacking the IDLE AIR SUPPLY
world wide 10 engines were used XJ. sorry facts.
in USA 17 digit VIN the 8th digit is engine code.
or post photo of engine and i tell you whats under the hood.
worst ever mistake is selling my 99' last good jeep made. IMO. (minimum of computers)
1992 here is 4.0 L AMC 242
or the diesel but is 94 to 02.
so is 4.0 only if in USA. or 2.5L (cut down 6 to 4)
owned 3 Cherokees with 4.0 drove em, 1/2 million miles, and did all the work.
ONLY FAILURES WERE ISC.! best cars ever owned 1965 to now.
repeats
what I did is use magicGUN lube on the ISC
off 'd the ISC
and with super special, gun lube spray for guns used in SIBERIA, "dry lube", looks like black teflon
after it dries, on the ISC cone i spray.
and now ISC goes 2 or 3 times father.

in truth the ISC is weak
later they went to motor drive and ended this pain.
solenoid drive fails. &sticks.

ISC= idle speed controller (or IAC)
here it is. clean it and drive
vacuum leaks cause racing engine and full power
so is not leaks.vac. 2.5L same. deal

My 1992 jeep cherokee laredo will start and stay running but wont charge the battery

An easy test to see if the alternator Is charging, is to place a paper clip against the rear bearing cup (the back of the alternator case in the center) While the engine is running, the paper clip will be attracted to the bearing if the alternator is good. Do not short the paper clip to any wire terminals to avoid a burn hazard. Be careful of rotating belt and pulleys.

My 1994 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo will not start or stay running.turns over but will not fire, but then sometimes it will.when it does start it runs very rough and will stall if I try to restart it...

If it's been sitting a while it's always a good idea to put some sort of gas treatment in it. Ethanol added to gas nowadays is bad about getting water in it if it sets.

While driving my 2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo sometimes it will start stalling and all my gauges go to zero then go back up now my odometer says done what can the problem be?

i would see if you have a friend with a code reader that will plug into the obd2 port to read the computer. it sounds like the computer was trying to run a self diagnosis program which shouldt happen unprompted.
