Front Door Trim Panel Removal and Installation
NOTE: Left front door trim panel shown, right front door trim panel similar.

  1. Remove the exterior mirror mounting hole cover.

  1. If equipped, remove the window regulator handle.
    1. Position the window regulator handle cover aside.
    1. Remove the window regulator handle screw and regulator handle.
    1. If equipped, remove the window control switch plate.
      • Disconnect the window control switch electrical connectors and if equipped, the memory set switch elHow to remove the passenger side door panel on a - dn0641b.gifnnector.

    1. IfHow to remove the passenger side door panel on a - dr0677a.gifremove the front door trim panel reflector or the courtesy lamp lens.
      1. Remove the screws.

      1. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Do not pull directly outward on front door trim panel, as damage will occur.
        NOTE: Remove the front door trim paneHow to remove the passenger side door panel on a - ani_caut.gif it straight upward.
        Lift and remove the front door trim panel.
      1. If equipped, twist the courtesy lamp connector one half turn and remove it from the front door trim panel.
      1. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Insert the lower panel tabs first or they can break when installing the front door trim panel.
        To install, reverse the removal procedure.

      SOURCE: How do I install a side view mirror on my F250?

      The door panel must be removed to get to the wiring. On a 04 250 you need to: pop off the moulding covering the mirror mounting nuts. Pry the window switch plate forward then up to disconnect it, then unplug it . Rmove the screw behind the switch plate and behind the reflector. Push up on the door panel to remove it.

      Parts stores sell door panel removal tools. Just watch for hidden screws in the door panel. The passenger side motor is replaceable, just involves removing the door panel and removing the power motor. The regulator may need lubricated, I'd do the drivers side after you get the glass out.

      Where is the cabin filter located?
      Your cabin filter is located on the passenger side. Open the passenger door and under the glove box you will when looking up you will see a panel to remove and slide the filter out. The filters are a little pricey, but if they are not flowing well they will affect the capacity of warm or cold air output.
