2005 Titan le 4x4. while driving down the road the check engine light flashes and the 4LO flashes the the truck dies. I pull over turn the truck off let it set for a few seconds and then it starts up and drives fine for about ten miles then it does it again.

My 2005 Sierra 4x4 did the same thing while running down the interstate on vacation. Scared me to death, thought it was going to shift into 4 wheel drive @ 80 MPR. Had to take to shop and they found a censor bad and they replaced it. Don't know cost, because truck was still under warranty.

Okay the motor for the 4x4 got stuck in 4LOW, Can you accsess the 4x4 motor switch,at see if that will retract the motor and default to 2 wheel drive because the switch itself went bad and wont disengage. see if that will help if not youll just have to by pass the switch and trigger to its normal position make sure its in neutral also

It is probably the fuel filter. Try using some fuel injector cleaner. Also ckeck your sparkplugs, and plug wires. Make sure your battery cables are getting a good conection. It could also be your starter or the starter solenoid going bad.

sounds like a fuel filter start here fitst its the least expensive place to start.

when the engine light flashes it means it detecting a misfire check spark plugs, plug wires , coil, ingition moudle fuel injectors

auto ac? check for a coolant leak low collant level will cause air pockets in cooling/heater system.

As far as your 4WD light problems, can't help you. The loose hose sounds like the front diff vent hose.

long shot when message says guages and the vehicle shuts down it may be going into protection mode i would check fluids on the four wheel drive units like isaid longshot hope this helps

Did you ever get an answer for this from the dealer? Mine did the same thing and now it's just sitting in my driveway collecting snow.
