Locating starter on 2006 Mazda 3

Battery might be dead. Try disconnecting the terminals (ground first) and clean the terminals. If that doesn't help, try jumping.

Is there any lights lit on the dash?? there is a common issue with gm cars.. The security in it goes bad and the car wont start all the time..i had it happen to my buick.. check out this site its the one I used. I think this has your answers !

think u hav a bad cable from the alternator to the batt--they wear and gain resistence eating up alternators--its the red cable used to charge batt--some mechaanics just add anothr wire beside the old and it works--hav a honest guy test the old wire

Your going to need to replace the alternator, it may be charging the battery slightly and enough to get through a few days of starting the vehicle, but you will need to get the alternator replaced.

check the starter solenoid to see if you get power when youre in start position single wire 18g small wire on the starter use test light have someone else turn key to start if you have power replace starter check there first

I would have battery checked/charged and/or replaced. Then starter, then alternator checked.

check -clutch switch - ignition switch -ignition lock -neutral safety switch -starter relay starter hope this can help

if the lights are bright and you hear a clicking and your heat blows good, the head lights are still real bright after trying to start a few time replace the starter (you can try to hit the starter with a hammer otr somthing heavy a few times and then try to start if it sounds better or starts replace the starter) if the battery goes dead try to jumpit if it starts then dies after a few min its the alt if it starts runs good and you let it run for about half hour shut it off and it wont restart rite away its the battery.

starter wont turn engine over? if so bad battery or bad battery connections,check alternator out put when u get it running if it is the battery cause it could have started there
