Usually if you look at how they clip on to the bracket, they only go 1 way.

How do i access and fix the linkage on a 2000 Buick Regal??

Im assuming you mean the transmission shifter linkage - problem is that car has a cable. You can see the cable on top of the transmission if you look straight down from the throttle body.

Im a person that know just about nothing about cars, but i need to know where the clutch is in my kia rio ls 2005 model. im not 100% sure whats wrong with it but when i accelerate the clutch seems to...

Your clutch is located inside the semi rounded housing that is sandwiched between the back of the engine and the transmission. It's a big job to get to it and best left to someone with experience. As for the throttle, make sure there is a return spring on the linkage on the throttle body where the throttle cable attaches to it. It may have broken or fallen off. (find that by having someone work the gas pedal and look at what moves on the engine when you do that.)

Transmission has foward and reverse but doesn't shift

you can check to see if the tv cable is hooked up the rubber grommet dry rots it hooks up to the throttle body. And ck down at the trans where the cable hooks up make sure it's not stuck if so lube and work the linkage back and forth.

Gas pedal sticks

does it stick in the cab or on the throttle body? make sure the cable is wrapped around the throttle linkage properly first and then id spray some wd40 on all the moving parts down by the pedal. sometimes gunk can get built up in that area and it just might need a good cleaning. odds are pretty good that the moving parts are really dirty or the cable isnt lined up properly on the throttle linkage. id start there.

Could some one tell us how the excelerator pump linkage on the float bowl side hooks up to the engine, that's a carburator for a 1968 chevy step van. the carburator is a rochester monjet # 7040021

Looking at an exploded view of your carburator in my Chilton book it would appear to me that the accelerator pump hooks to the throttle linkage on the opposite side from the throttle cable. On that end it shows a small plate that screws into the throttle shaft. This plate has 2 links attached to it, one of which should line up with a hole in the side of the main body. You will probably have to push the pump down by hand to line up the hole in the bottom of the pump arm with the hole in the body and attach the linkage.
There is no specific info in the book regarding this, just the diagram. Hope this helps.

1987 s10 pickup transmission leaking. two spots , Governor cover and from some sort of cable going from the transmission to the throttle body

The govenor cover has an o-ring seal. No problem, just be sure NOT to let the govenor fall out. Remove the cover with a screwdriver by tapping it outward with a hammer, gently. The throttle valve cable has a rubber seal, you can get from any trans shop. Unhook it from the top/throttle body first. Leave it mounted in the brackets. Then remove the bolt holding it into the trans, pull up and un hook the throttle valve linkage. Be sure to reinstall this in the reverse order. If when you go to hook it back up top pull the cable. You should feel spring tension on the cable if so then you have it right. Good Luck

1999 ram auto trans wont shift into park

you could need a throttle linkage adjustment. first check to see if your ram will start in "park" and "neutral" only. if it starts in any other gear=faulty neutral safety switch. replace. ok, now check linkage for proper adjustment...with engine off and in park...remove intake housing..disconnect cableend from attatchment stud on your throttle body..slide cable off the stud (carefully)..verify that the transmissionthrottle lever is fully forward (idle) position..and verify that the lever on the throttle body is at curb idle pos..insert small screwdriver under edge of the retaining clip and remove..center the cable end on attatchment stud to within 0.04", or 1mm. install retaining clip onto cable housing..check cable adjustment..be sure trans throttle lever and throttlr body lever move in sync with each other.
