The last Cj-7 was built in 1986. And they didn't come factory with a V-8 so you have a conversion of some type. Most factory wiring diagrams aren't going to help much. Sorry

The brake light switch is located on the upper part of the brake pedal since it is activated by it. It should be the only switch with an electrical connector attached to the pedal.

Honestly the best advise I can give you is pick up a Chiltons or Haynes manual for your Jeep. It will have complete wiring diagrams, troubleshooting, and lots of helpful info on fixing the Jeep. You will thank me later because I guarantee this isn't your last wiring problem in the Jeep.
if thay are the same models thin see if the wires mach the same way n if not thin u will have to go to a junkyard n get the wires that will fit in to it thin u can put it in n u will have to have a nuther computer in it to
You can use any vacuum port on the manifold for that. If you want to mess with it a bit, if you have an open port on the carb that is above the throttle plate, you can use that and see if performance is better. Some engines like it and some don't, but it's not like you have to take the engine apart to try it!!
