What i would do is make sure the battery is fully charged and double check that all connections are clean. the smallest amount of corrotion will cause that problem. that is what it seems to me.

Either a bad solenoid on the fender, loose connection, or a bad battery

1992 ford ranger 4cy new battery starter and relay and ignition switch starter just clicks and cables get super hot

Resistance problem in the circuit. Are the battery cable ends original? If so, they may need replacement. I have seen a lot of problems caused by the original cable ends Ford uses after they become old. If cable ends have been replaced at some point and time, you can try giving them a good clean where they fit on the battery. Another quick test is to turn on the headlights and see if they come on/are bright. If not, wiggle battery cables to see if they come on/get brighter. This can indicate a cable issue

I have a 87 ford ranger, hard starting, I have changed the starter relay, same problem, load tested battery checks good, changed starter worked for about 3 months problem came back replaced starter again...

Put a draw meter on the starter lead to see how much juice it is taking to turn the engine. Sometimes bad injectors or even a leaking carburetor can flood cylinders and in effect hydro-lock the cylinders. Was the water level constant or can bad head gaskets drain into the cylinders?

Add a ground strap to the block. Could be that frame ground fails and it affects starter. The strap is not that expensive to try.

Engine won't turn over on 1992 ford ranger

Check starter for 12 volts while trying to start, if 12 volts is present replace the starter, if not check the starter relay, starter fuse, and ignition control module.

In the meantime, turn the key to the on position and grab a screwdriver with a rubber handle. Open the hood and find your starter solenoid (located on the starter). Touch the 2 terminals on the starter solenoid together using the screwdriver. Be cautious to prevent damage to your starter or to yourself.

If starter still doesn't turn over, check and replace your battery.

1992 ford ranger will not start

I would check the timing of the engine.
The timing may have skipped .
I would check the fuel pressure. The fuel pump could have took a dump.

Can you hear the fuel pump coming on when you turn the ignition key but do not turn it over to start.
IF you do not hear the fuel pump coming on replace it.
