It sounds like your "Agitator" or "spinner" is not working. It is hard to say without more details.

Here's a tip anyways:

Get a small socket set, and pull out your washer. Either on the back or the front of the machine (usually the back), there will be 6 to 12 small nuts and bolts that can be removed to pull the cover from the washer.

Once you have the cover off, run the machine and watch it. You will notice where the problem is if you keep your eyes open for it. Try setting it to "spin" to see if it spins. If it does, then go through the cycles until you notice what your washer is not doing.

**Warning** Although washers are fairly easy to work on, there are moving parts and wires in there, so please be careful with your hands**

My washing machine keeps on cutting off.

Hello
If your washing machine is cutting off after only running for a few seconds, it could be due to a few different issues:
  1. Overloading: If you have too many clothes in the drum, it can put too much strain on the motor and cause it to shut off. Remove some clothes and try again.
  2. Clogged pump: If there is an object stuck in the pump or the pump filter is clogged, it can cause the machine to shut off. Clean the pump and filter to see if this resolves the issue.
  3. Overheating: If the motor is overheating, it will shut off to protect itself. Wait for the motor to cool down and then try again.
  4. Malfunctioning motor control board: If the motor control board is damaged, it may cause the machine to shut off. Have a professional diagnose and repair the issue.
If you're hearing a slipping noise from the belt, it could indicate that the belt is loose or worn and needs to be replaced. This can also cause the machine to shut off if the belt is slipping too much. If you're not familiar with repairing washing machines, I would recommend contacting a professional for assistance.

Clothes washer tub spins on wash

sounds like u have a problem with the "brain". The agitator and spin cycle should never run at the same time. therefore it leads me to A: brain issue B:problem in the actual transmission of what cycle should be running. You will continue to smell the burning rubber due to the issue being one of the two explained above. Does it ever NOT spin? If this is the case the likely hood is that it will be a solenoid.

Our washer does not spin. It vibrates, but when you open the lid, it is clear that nothing has moved.

Does the washer adjitate well during the wash cycle. If the washer fills and pumps oput the water but does not adjitate or spin well the coupler that couples the motor to the transmission is stripped and worn our.
