Could be in the trunk in the left rear panel or under the dash for starters. Many cars have them in the trunk due to rear end collisions but some are on the right front near the passenger foot panel. Easy to reset by pressing a button once you find it. Happy hunting.

Ther are so many variations from year to year if I were you I would just call the service department of your local Toyota dealer they can tell you exactly where to look or purchase a Haynes repair manual this is a valuable book to have aif you plan to own the vehicle for more than 3 years.

Ford Ranger inertia pump and switch

Your vehicle has an inertia switch, which is located on the tow board to the right of the transmission pump. Usually the fuel pump does not shut off except in the case of an accident but you can check it anyway. Being fuel injected, your fuel pump is probably in the gas tank and if there is no power to the wires coming out of the tank, you probably have a bad fuel pump

To bypass the inertia switch on my 1992 f150 5.0 liter 2 wheel drive truck do i have to run a jumper wire or can i just unhook the inertia switch

the inertia switch is a safety feature if you are involved in a accident it shuts of the fuel at the pump and you should not try to disconnect it nor can I tell you how to do it you will be liable for your actions if discovered after an accident/ what is the problem here ? and what have you done already? no power to fuel pump?(check fuses and wiring)and inertia switch wiring if you are blowing fuses?// fuel pump can be locked up blowing fuses, there is a fuel injection relay, a fuel pressure regulator, a fuel pump circuit open relay, and a fuel tank selector switch, and of course the inertia switch, if you tell me what's wrong I can get you to the results you need otherwise go to rock auto.com and look up your truck and you will see the parts in Pictures so you know what to look for, also if you have a u pull it yard or a regular junk yard you can get this stuff pretty cheap, but new is always better and guaranteed yard parts are risky post back if you want to with progress or problems your having good luck Stephen

The Fuel Pump Does Not Kick In When I Turn On The Ignition And The Engine Won`t Start

Most likely, your inertia switch has been tripped, either due to an accident or a sudden jolt to the vehicle.

2005 JAGUAR S TYPE TURNS OVER BUT WONT START AFTER ACCIDENT DOES IT HAVE FUEL CUTOFF SWITCH AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED

You likely tripped the Fuel Shut-Off Inertia Switch.
The inertia switch is located behind the trim on the right-hand
side of the vehicle, forward of the front door post, below the
fascia. Pull open the small panel in the trim to reset the switch.
Resetting the switch
CAUTION !!!:
To avoid the possibility of fire or personal injury, do not
reset the inertia switch if you see or smell fuel.
If no fuel leak is apparent, reset the inertia switch as follows:
Press the button!
If the switch was activated by the accident, you should feel it "click" when you reset it by pushing it.

Happy Motoring!

I have 2008 Sprinter 2500 (3.0 diesel) . it's been in an accident, after i fixed it, it won't start. Something doesn't let it do it. Does anybody know if I should reset the whole system at

the sensor keeping it from starting it is an inertia switch. it is a safety feature in case the vehicle rolls or is wrecked etc... it cuts the power to the fuel pump. generally it is located in the trunk of cars or in your case probably near the kick panel on the passenger side. usually has a button to pus to reset

Vehicle was involved in a front end impact - Now vehicle won't start - Right after the accident tryed to start the vehicle and it wouldn't crank.

Very simple, Ford's use inertia switches. They shut the fuel off when you are in an accident. Just call ford and ask for the location of the inertia switch on your vehicle. You just push it in to reset it.

Good luck
