Answer , very carefully ...

drain coolant , remove and mark all vacuum lines , make a schematic to diagram your hose routing, disconnect and plug all fuel lines, remove distributor and mark location of rotor, disconnect battery, remove any necessary cables, brackets and or accesseries, remove intake mounting bolts, note length of bolts and reference location, pry up on intake , remove intake, scrape old gasket off , must be very clean to reinstall new gasket or you will cause a leak..

Had a intake manifold replaced on my 1999 Lincoln towncar the friend that did it messed up the wiring somehow and now no one can figure out the problem and it will not run what do I do

You can't plug a connector on the wrong sensor. Excluding dodge pt cruisers and neons. So I would check to see if he smashed wires between the intake and head.

90 lincoln towncar where is the cruise control servo located

Usually mounted on the intake manifold or the fender.
You should be able to follow the cruise cable from the throttle body.

Need to know where the oxygen sensors are located on a 1999 lincoln towncar

Oxygen sensors are usually located on the manifold pipe just as it exits the engine block. If the engine is a V6 or V8 it will most likely have one sensor per side where the exhaust leaves the sides of the engine ( front and back )

Replaced intake manifold in 1999 lincoln towncar now intermintent low rpm missing

My first guess would be a vac leak around one of the gaskets, or a hose is disconnected. A leaking gasket could change with the engine temp.

I have a 99 lincoln towncar n the intake mainfold got a crack rite under the theromostat n i went to naps auto parts n they told me that i can use this welding putty n go home n put it on the cracks...

JB Weld is great stuff, but I would'nt count on it as a permanent solution. Sometime in the future you should replace the manifold. Can probably pick one up cheap at the junkyard. Mike

How can I change the egr valve on my 95 lincoln towncar myself

The EGR valve is located on the rear right area of the intake manifold. The egr valve connected to the right exhaust manifold. It is connected via a metal tube. The valve and the tube has to be removed as an assembly, and separated once it is off the car. The EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It is part of the vehicle emissions system. There are generally three parts to the EGR system: the EGR Valve, an actuator solenoid, and a pressure sensor EGR (DPFE). These things work together. They are easily cleaned by removing the cover on the rear of the intake manifold. these ports are small, and easily clogged by carbon, and oil residue. There are two ways to replace the egr valve. To replace the EGR valve get ahold of a 11mm Gear Wrench and do it from the top. Or If you have a lift, the jack up the vehicle of jack stands and you can drop the exhaust from the bottom and get it that way. -------------- Keep updated for any further queries.Thanks.
