Buick Le Sabre 1999....the ''Air Bag Readiness Light'' stays on. How do can I service the air bag system to find the problem & how to fix it?

Well really the only wsay you can figure out why the air bag light is on,is to go to the dealer so they can hook up the scanner and see what code it has in it,there could be a bunch of different things wrong with but the code will point you in the right direction,,,,,,but only the dealer scanner will read air bag codes,the cheaper scanners like auto zones actron,and even the cheaper snap-on and mac do not read it either,so your kinda stuck going to the dealer to find out, if your not familiar with air bags let them work on it,as you could accidently deploy the air bags when your working with the system,,they are sensitive and i would not want to see you get injured
