I have a 2000 eclipse had a dead battery and now radio is saying

I have a 2000 eclipse and had to change the battery out and now it is asking for a code for the radio i have the code what is the proper way of entering the code

I used to have an eclipse but all i remember about how to enter the code is using the radio preset buttons to change each number.. hope it helps

You need to call Dealer or stop at one to get proper code for your radio.You can check owners manual for reprogramming instructions.If not there I would suggest googling it.

I just had to do the same thing with my eclipse...its simple...its a four digit code and it tells you step by step how to do it in the manual.

They are not available for free as access is required to the original factory database ...which is not commercially available....Sorry

im sorry but that has to be called in by the dealer ship it self no two radiio have the same codes you have to call them give them your serial number and they should give you the codes over the phone it should be free unless they make come down to verify that its your car

I need your help! I have a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse and the radio went dead after I changed the battery. the radio information is "MR 337271" and the serial # is "98235158A" Thanks
Most of these cars have a theft protection on them so when you disconnected the battery its possible that it triped the theft protection . and if so there is a code to reset the radio, this code is usually in you owners manual and if not you will have to go to a dealer to have it done. this is quite a common fault which i hear, the only way to obtain the code is to hope the previoous owner or the person who fitted stereo is wise enough to write it down in your handbook. if it a factory fitted stereo then the manufacturer keps a log of it and will provide it to you for a small fee.

all you have to do is call a local mitsubishi dealer and ask for parts department and ask for the code. but first you must remove your stereo and serial number and i forget what she called the other number, just dont do what i did and just randomly enter wrong numbers your radio will lock up and i dont know what to do now
