Hi Clark,

The Transmission Fluid goes in the tube that houses the transmission fluid level dipstick.

I know, looking at the tube, it sounds insane. A long narrow funnel made specifically for this purpose is sold at auto parts stores.

Best regards,
Mike

It may not have one. For example some Fords do not have a port or a dipstick.

Where do you check the transmission level on a 1995 Polaris 425 Magnum. How do you add fluid?

on any vehicle with an automatic transmission, there are two dip sticks. One to measure oil level, and the other transmission fluid level( typically labled 'check with engine running in park'). To add transmission fluid requires a funnel to introduce fluid via the dip-stick tube.

If you have a manual transmission, then you don't need transmission fluid, you need gear oil, which can be measured at the transmission and added at the same port.

Where and how do you add transmission fluid

Look for it good... it's only four ports to add fluids to...1.your engine oil
2.brake fluid
3.transmission fluid
4.radiator
It's there...usually around the right front side of the engine, under the hood. It should say it on it. "Transmission
Fluid"

Usually add about a pint. Not quite the whole bottle. (A Pint).

My 2007 G6 with a V6 engine doesn't have a dipstick to check the transmission fluid. Is this normal?

its a sealed transmission. it has a cap that screws on the transmission to add but you cant check the level. the only way is to put it on a level lift and under the transmission there are two small plugs that unscrew (metal bolts) may be allen head, cant remember exactly right now its been a while, one to drain and other about 2 or 3 inches higher that you remove and fill with fluid trough plastic cap i mentioned before till it starts draining trough the bolt hole. then you know it is level. tighen all screws and ports backup and your done.crzejkr_2.png

just add half qts by half qts till fluid drains from level plug. REMEMBER ENGINE MUST BE HOT AND RUNNING ON.
IF YOUR DRAINING CHANGING FILTER AND REFILING FROM NOTHING WARM ENGINE UP ON OLD FLUID THEN START PROCEDURE.

Where do you add transmission fluid to 2007 450 GL Mercedes?

This is only a guess. I don't know anything about Mercedes. try the transmission dipstick hole. Generally all cars use the transmission dipstick hole to add transmission fluid. That is why the tranny dipstick is slightly larger than the oil dipstick. Good luck and thanks for your question and I hope my suggestions help. burdfrenzy

How do i add transmission fluid to my 98 mercury mystique

To add the fluid you need a funnel and it gets put in your dipstick port. Add a very little at a time and keep checking until dsired amount is there. Don;t over fill it as it may cause your tranny to burn out slip or even fail to operate.

If the port is not full how do you know when not to add anymore trans fluid

In an automatic transmission while the engine is running in park check the dipstick after the vehicle has reached normal operating temp. There is a mark for cold and hot. Since the fluid expands with high temps always check when hot to ensure you wouldn't add any excess fluid if you needed to add some as overfilling it would cause premature failure and expensive repairs

How do i add transmission fluid to my 1996 camry?

If you have a dipstick under your hood for the tranny fluid, then fill it in there slowly... if not, you'll need to fill it through the filler plug that will be on the side of the transmission just above the halfway point
