There is no mass air flow (MAF) sensor on this engine. The PCM uses the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) and inlet air temperature (IAT) sensors to calculate the amount of air entering the engine, rather than a MAF sensor.

hi from the uk the location of mass air flow sensor on x type jag is as follows==it is on the r/h/side of the air filter cover with jaguar embossed on top? this sensor is just prior to the intake hose that connects to the motorised throttle body from filter connections underneath it to unplug and meter is held by two screws ?if memory serves ? may i suggest you remove the large hose and use a little wd40 or similar to clean /lubricate the throttle butterfly in throttle body throat at this point so as to prevent future sticking upsetting of idling ? hope this helps ?

The sensor is mounted on the throttle body between the air cleaner assembly and the air cleaner outlet tube.
