You need to top up your transmission fluid and or replace transmission fluid , your transmission could be leaking lowering fluid level which can make your car not engage and drive or reverse , every two years you should replace transmission fluid , i flush mine and use full synthetic trandmission fluid

Most like ly the clutch actuator or electronic setting from the TCM
have a fault code reading done to determine the fault

The response you gave sounds like nonsense , i already know what is wrong low or old transmission fluid

  • Bill Boyd Mar 01, 2020

if you already know , then don't waste our time . If you think that having the fault codes read is nonsense , go change the oil and do all that you kow is wrong , then spend money on fixing what the codes would have told you needs fixing

SOURCE: Adjust headlights on a 2004 Saab 9-3

Check the fuse box under the hood on drivers side, it will be number 17 and a 10 amp. this vehicle has automatic headlight adustment when you crank the car. If the fuse is blown the lights will point down to keep from blinding oncoming traffic.

SOURCE: Saab 2004 9-3 Convertible

Had same problem, in the boot right hand side, behind the removable panel there is :
1 - a hydraulic reservoir which must be at correct level.
2 - a black box (stc) this controls the roof system,
switch ignition off then pull the 2 connectors off for 30sec then reconnect.
This worked and hope this resolves your problem

SOURCE: A cd got stuck in my 2004 Saab 9-3. I got it

If you have the manual for that particular radio it should have a function of one or more buttons to be pressed simultaneously in order to "re-boot" so to speak.
But, how exactly did you get it out, you just as well might have damage the player, then I suggested you go to a auto lec

SOURCE: how do I replace my 2004 Saab 9 3 linear's water pump.

Re : the computer , they better cover it under warranty or they ****.
Re : the water pump , you have a leak and they say it is the water pump , I have no reason to doubt that they have honestly checked out the problem and determined that a new water pump is the only solution but , damn $ 1000 is pretty steep. I would look around for another mechanic for a second opinion and a quote. Avoid dealerships. Not sure what engine you have but i just looked in my saab with a 2.3 and hope I never have to do mine. I am pretty good with a wrench but I know there would be lots of swearing involved.

I changed the fuel pump on my 2005 saab 93 it still wont start

A common problem is a bad crank sensor on a 9-5 2.0t and 2.3t! if is bad, it doesn t send signal to the ECM, then the ECM do not send power to the pump relay! it is always better check fault code first

I have a Gearbox malfunction linited performance signal on my 2004 Saab 9-3 2.0 turbo and i'm wondering what may have cased this problem.

9 time out of 10 it is either (1) computer glitch; (2) the input speed sensor; (3) a wiring short; or (4) neutral safety switch. If your tranny operates fine even with the message (the message may disappear after a few starts), that means the problem is most likely with one of the above, rather than the tranny itself. Your car generates error codes that a Saab deal with a Tech 2 Scanner can read. That will pinppoint the error source. Good luck.

Check gearbox light, car drives sluggish, heater cuts off.

You have a bad gearbox position sensor located on the transmission. When the transmission computer sees the fault in that sensor it goes into a protective mode in your car starts out in second gear that's why it is sluggish. This is a very common failure on that car. The heater issue is not related.
