SOURCE: remote locks the doors but will not unlock doors or trunk Battery

It is entirely possible that the unlock button on the remote is worn such that it is not making contact. I've seen this happen many times, as the unlock button is pressed so much more than lock. You might try to reprogram the remote first before you look into getting a new remote. The procedure goes like this. Close and lock all doors Key in and out of the ignition 6 times, hazard lights should flash twice Turn key into accessory or on position Unlock and lock doors with drivers switch Press lock or unlock on remote Hazards should flash again to verify recognition turn key off  manually unlock door and then open and shut it.  you should then be able to test remote.
The key to the procedure is doing step two quickly Hope this helps, if not you may need another remote or see dealer.

SOURCE: 2003 Hyundai Sonata Door Lock Problem

I had this problem. Through some research and asking some service personnel I found out it is a fairly easy fix. You will need to buy a new relay switch for the door locks. The dealer will/should know what you need. They are located (two of them, buy two and replace both) on the back side of the fuse box. It is not that easy to get back there. I had to lay on my back with my head up under the instrument panel. They are visible and can be removed if you take some time and be careful. Once I knew what I was looking at, it was easy to replace and the remote works like a charm. You can go to an auto supply, like Autozone, and they should have a schematic to show you where these relays are.

SOURCE: remote starter does not work but will unlock and lock doors.

depending on your alarm which it sounds like a viper model maybe? on my 02 you have to incorporate a factory alarm bypass module in order to be able to start the truck, they run about 100.00 bucks and have to be profssionally installed. The truck wont start because the computer isnt recieving the proper starting sequence due to the factory alarm

SOURCE: When I use my remote starter & door

The rear doors probably dont come w accuators in them. Meaning that the rear doors alot of times don't have power options. If you are certain that your rear doors have factory power locks then I would say it's a wire somewhere...did you try a double click of the unlock button. My two door chevy truck unlocks the driver door with one click and the pass door requires a double click. Hope this helps !

Just had prostart installed on 2002 Dodge Gr Caravan.Replaced battery and now, remote start turns ignition on and cranks but will not start. Makes 3 attempts, shuts down. Door locks don't work either.

One would hope that the shop that installed your remote starter would stand behind their work and correct this problem. Your other options are to troubleshoot and correct yourself, or take it to a qualified shop to troubleshoot and correct. Then take that bill to the shop that installed the remote starter for reimbursement.
