97 jeep wrangler high idle speed, replaced pvc valve and grommet . can I adjust it or is it computer controlled?

It is computer controlled and any attempt to adjust will get you no where. Check the entire engine intake system for vacuum leaks. Use a can of carburetor cleaner and carefully spry it all over the intake and hoses, if you hit a leak the engine idle will change. You can also do this with a bottle of propane gas. DO NOT GET CARB SPARY ON THE CARS PAINT.

I have a 97 jeep wrangler with I-4 manual trans. Rattle in trans at a stop with clutch in and out. at one time there was a whine also but now that is gone. I dont drive this much. only 52,000 miles on her....

Rember when you press the clutch in, the pressure plate releices the clutch disc and input shaft in the transmission. If you still have noise, It can only be either a broken spring on the pressure plate or the throw out berring. Neither can be serviced. There is a fill plug on the side, It takes ATF

Directional signals and flashers stopped working

Hi, this is a flasher issue. its malfunctioning. its located near the Seating area, driver side, on the upper steering column housing at the top of the steering column, behind the multi-function switch.

If you would like to check the fuse. it is number 3(20a) yellow.

Brake lights on my wrangler won't work

Check the fuses under the dash. If they are o.k. Check the bulbs. If they are o.k. then it may be the combination switch. (turn signal switch)

Jeep Wrangler 1997: Broken power steering pump

I don't know what the date was when you inquired. But, if you drive it will be o.k. as long as there was no fluid loss. You will just have to overcome the stiff steering. If you lost all of your fluid you will seize the pump and then it will throw the belt and you will be walking because your water pump will cease to turn and the engine will over heat.
