Well Jason you could have a bad fuel pump relay in the underhood electrical center . The PCM - powertrain control module turns on the relay . An your vehicle has a anti-theft system probably ! Is there A security light lit on the dash ? If not pull the fuel pump relay out of the electrical center an check for power an grounds , there will be two grounds an one battery voltage an one open . The open will be power when cranking the engine , this is the control side from the PCM . If you look on the side of the relay there should be a circuit diagram , an on the bottom the pin's should be marked 30 , 87 this is the fuel pump side of the relay. 87 is battery voltage , 87 goes to the fuel pump . Pin's 85 , 86 . 86 is ground an 85 is power from the PCM when cranking ! GM Fuel Pump Relay Testing
Class car man.Try the crank position sensor it controlls the ignition and fuel delivery by sending information to the ecu in relation to the position of the crank-cam.
I AM LOOKING AT FUEL PUMP.IF YOU LET GAS TANK RUN DRY.FUEL PUMP WILL OVER HEAT.WHICH WILL DAMAGE IT.CHECK FUEL PUMP FUSE AND RELAY.NOW GAS COULD BE BAD IT.COULD HAVE A LOT OF WATER IN IT.IT WILL CAUSE CRANKING PROBLEMS IN VERY COLD WEATHER.CHANGE PLUGS AND WIRES ALSO FUEL FILTER. IF THEY HAVE NOT BEEN CHANGE A LONG TIME.
Symptoms Like this usually point to the Fuel pump.
Also these cars suffer from inferior wiring to the fuel pumps and a substantial Voltage drop is noted between the Fuel pump relay and the Pump harness.
The fix for this is a "Hotwire" Kit
Fuel pump kits with a Hotwire kit are available at numerous Buick performance Vendors but the best stuff in my opinion come from Racetronix, com
You should also change the Prom Chip in the ECM to a modern
Chip from Turbotweak.
This will improve driveability greatly.
First make sure you have no restrictions in exaust[converter] after you are sure of this check fuel pressure, this is critical to make sure you do not hurt pistons.
