It was the fuel pump fuse. Switched it with the a/c fuse started right up after changing the INJ fuse to a good one. Went and got another fuse just put that one on the ac fuse an back on the road

SOURCE: driving and car died and now wont start it has power and turns over just wont start

You need to isolate the problem. If it starts when you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking then problem is in fuel system.(pump, pump relay, filter or fuse) If not, then look into ignition system. Use any manual to get specific testing instructions and do not buy anything till you verify by testing that you really need that part or it can get unnecessarily expensive.
If you need more info on anything, just ask, but at the point you are at, careful testing will tell you far more than anyone here can tell you.

SOURCE: 93 honda civic ex sputtered and died while driving

Is there any white smoke coming out the exhaust? Sounds like the same problem my friend had when he warped his head on his 91 civic. Any overheating at all? Otherwise another guess would be maybe a bad catalitic converter that clogged up. Hope this helps any, good luck

SOURCE: my 1980 toyota p/u starts idles but on the freeway

i guess it has carbs on that year, which means
1.your main jet is blocked or
2. fuel filter is clogged,
3. fuel pump worn out
4.blocked fuel line
you simply have just enough gas to idle but when you demand more there just is not enough,

Make sure that the idle motor is working. When you start it should run about 1200 rpm for a few seconds then go down to 600 rpm If not it may need cleaned or replaced.

Car dies on freeway.Never overheated!!! What could it be.I'm guessing the fuel pump

Hopefully you don"t need gas first in the tank. While driving did your motor seem to ruff suddenly and as you went slower to a stop did you pull over and turn car off? When you turned it on again did it start up really ruff without giving gas.Can be that you need a fuel injector replaced you can not clean it because it also works electronic.Toyota runs better on higher octane period.

2002 HD 1500 Chevroley 4WD 4 door truck engin lost power and died could start but when acelarated died max rpm 800 pulled filter turned key on pump shot a stream of gas 3 ft and stoped ran only secon

It is normal for the pump to run for two seconds when first switched on to pressurize the fuel system. It will turn on again when cranking and while running. I would still suspect the pump given your symptoms, however other problems could also give you the same symptoms. If it is the original pump from 2002, or more than about 7 or 8 years old, I would definitely replace it, and the fuel filter. Often the pump will go intermittent. I had one that I could restart and get down the road by hitting the bottom of the gas tank a few times!

Driving fine when motor suddenly died. Coasted to side of the road. Other electrics ok and motor cranks over.

Probably the fuel pump. when these go out, they go out, most of the time with no warning. Have the fuel pressure checked. Or disconnect the fuel line and put it in a jar or some other container and turn the motor over. If the pump is working you will get gas, if no gas, then no pump! If you have gas the it is probably the ECM. The module that controls the engine firing.

Check the Timing belt and the fuses. If you have installed anything that has wires that you connected into the fuse block check those to make sure one hasn't come free and shorted a fuse on the fuse block or Power distribution box in the engine compartment. Also, and I know this is a long shot, check the oil level in the engine to make sure your bump is working and that the sensor is responding correctly. I had a sensor go out once and when the engine got low on oil it didn't register but when I made turns you could hear it and feel it with a lose of power.

Sounds like the BCM (body Control Module), although it could be a bad battery or alternator. Since the van keeps running ok, I'd tend towards the BCM.

Since you lose speedo and such, it's a bit dangerous to let it go too long. ;>

You can also buy a cheap dollar store light that plugs into your cigarette lighter. Make sure you can see it, but it doesn't blind you. If the light stays at about the same brightness, or gets a _little_ brighter when the gremlins attack, it's probably NOT the battery or alternator. yes, it cheesy and cheap, but I _like_ cheap troubleshooting.

2000 chevy blazer 4X4. After driving twenty to thirty miles on freeway when I pull off to the off ramp and come to a stop my battery gauge will start to flicker as well as my fuel gauge, will do that...

Are there any codes in the pcm?
There are quite a few things that could cause this;
Make sure the battery cables are tight and clean.
If you have a way to do it, need to find out what the fuel pressure is at when it is acting up.
Dose it miss at all or just loose rpm's and die, no matter what you do? (meaning can you keep it alive by pressing the gas peddle)

To me it sounds like your new fuel pump is loosing pressure while running for a while. But try and get a pressure reading and post back, that will give us something to rule out, or to address.
I think the light flicker you are talking about is just low engine rpm's?
