This could be highly likely. The Kia motors are "interference engines", basically means there is no clearance between the top of the piston and the head (valves,spark plugs etc) when piston is at top dead centre. So if a valve has dropped, usually the valve head breaks off and the valve stem remains in sleeve.This little piece of steel bouncing around inside the cylinder can do major damage to the bore and the piston (alloy), also the other 3 valves in that cylinder and the head. If the motor seized as a result then there could also be damage to other parts of the engine as well, eg crankshaft, bearings etc. Sorry about that !!

the RESET button for more than 1 second. The display will change to "Engine Oil Service Message" mode.
You can move to items by pressing the TRIP button and select the desired item by pressing the RESET button."
