My side lights work fine , as soon as I turn the headlights on the side lights go off , is this normal on a vw caddy maxi 2011 ??

The main/high beam relay/switch must be stuck on high presuming the high beam stalk selector does not operate. Probably needs replacement.

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

2004 vw 2000sdi caddy van wont start some mornings you need to wind it over before it fires, immediately after it fires you can switch off ignition and it will start first time and continue to start all day. vw dealer says no fault codes present. gloplugs renewed, new battery,fuel problem? Has anyone come accross similar problem I

shoot a little ether to it. you may have to manually idle it since the plujg is missing. thats what it does,. it heats the fuel for that first cold start
