If you have the keypad on the door, enter your Security numbers and then try starting it. We have had a number of reports of this problem from Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury owners.
Although you said it is a "NEW" battery, many times the batteries sit in the store and are not fully charged. You can try jumper cables and disconnect the NEG cable of your car. Let the assisting car charge your new battery with the jumper cables. Then disconnect the jumpers and reconnect your NEG cable and try to start it.
If it still will not start you may have to use the jumpers and use both batteries to turn your car over.
There seems to be something in the Alarm system that drops the Starter voltage when this happens.

The Security system will activate if the Battery is below standards. Have the battery checked. Even if you jump start it, as soon as the jumpers are removed the charging system may not work or the engine may die.
If you have another ignition key, try that. The ignition key has a Code in it and if it does not match the Codereader, it will not start.
