Stop red lights stays on after switch off - Cars & Trucks

Either a brake light switch or torque converter clutch solenoid needs to be replaced.the vehicles talk converter clutch is not disengaging when activated by the brake light switch. Therefore one of these two items is defective.

it sounds like a door switch is sticking, spray the dome light buttons at each door one at a time. and open and close the door a few times to see if one is sticking. if they are sticking then it should solve the problem. I suppose the dealer never mentioned this because they are out to rob everyone. you can use wd-40, electrical spray etc. spray switches good then open and close the doors. if this does not work, try to pull fuse. its worth a try!

My audi a4 2002 3.0 quattro radio just stop working with the red light that stay on. It does'nt display "SAFE" , so I don't think that is lock. Please help

with the pedal switch off the lights would stay on...they only go off when the switch in depressed...if you depress the switch and they stay on then you will need to replace the switch

the tail lights? theres two signals. is it the park lights stay on or the stop lights stay on??? is your stop lights stay on, go under the dash board right in front or behind the brake pedal you will see a switch. dicconect it. then check the lights again. if there off buy a new stop light switch and reinstall it. and recheck it again. also before you buy it, check the relay for the stop lights too. remove it and check. then put another from another function. huh horn, headligh a/c blower just to test it then put it back,. let me know

hi from uk from symptoms you describe ? it may well be the light you say is staying on ? is probably your brake stop light ? this can be that your brake stop light switch req's adjusting ie screw the switch inwards a little so that when b/pedal is fully off the switch is pushed fully off you should also check the other brake light because if only one side is staying on ? then the bulb on other light is probably o/heated and blown ?? hope this helps ?

it mite just be a ground wire. that goes 2 your calipers and grouns on the frame

what do you mean by stop light coming on is it the large red STOP on instrument panel coming on if so check water level in radiator,also check your engine oil level

get your ignition switch checked out , lots of problems , does your key feel weird when turning to cranck , and is it hard to return and remove , does it stay stuck in lock at times
