SOURCE: Location of Shift Solenoid in 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer?

They are round "cans" with wires attached. You should have SSA, SSB, SSC, Torque converter and Pressure Control solenoids. They control pressures and have no mechanical linkage.

Reverse 1999 Ford Expedition occasionally won't work, but usually does!

Not enough transmission fluid in the tranny, Pressure regulator malfunction, reverse solenoid sticking or the transmission control module is bad.

I have ford expedition 2001with this code p0750 p1747 p0755 p0743

All of these are transmission codes. More diagnostics need to be done to it. Could be a bad solenoid, valve body, or a transmission rebuild.

Is there a sensor or solenoid that controls gears in a transmission for a ford expedition

You have a seperate computer that controls this for your vehicle. Normally it is located on the transmission itself. They do go bad.

My 2005 ford expedition is blowing fuse 32 and wont go over 40mph

Fuse 32 is the solenoids for the transmission. If your shift solenoid is bad then that could blow the 15A fuse and also cause the transmission not to shift to the next gear, thus preventing the vehicle from exceeding 40mph. Electronic automatic transmission problems can often be rather difficult for an average person to diagnose. I suggest taking the vehicle to a professional who has the proper diagnostic tools to find and fix the problem.

My 05 expedition slips when in overdrive but when I turn the overdrive off it stops slipping but won't go over 55mph

I would change the fluid about 4 times, not flush.

Next replace every solenoid in the pan area

Then the filter

If it has a solenoid pack, you get all that in one piece

Do not drive it one foot, until you resolve that issue,
that comes from someone who previously owned
a trans repair business

Fluid gets changed every 30,000 miles ,not
more than 3 years on ALL Vehicles and Power
Steering at same time

I have a 1997 ford expedition and the overdrive light stays on when its actually off is this normal and is it good for the overdrive to be on what should i do

Hi, this light is signaling a malfunction within the OD shift solenoid that is located within the transmission. the best action here is to take it to the local ford dealer for a PCM scan. you should receive a code that will point to a transmission OD shift solenoid issue.

Please rate and god bless:)
