SOURCE: need instruction manual/schematics for replacing 2005 kia rio driver side rear wheel bearing. i've got the wheel/hub/bearing off, not the inside ring to the bearing. i need to know how to replace it .

clean all the grease if there is any out of the hub, turn the hub over and using a drift and hammer strike the shell from the back edge working around the shell as you go, should not take too much to remove it but you will need a bit more than a tap with the hammer.
Hope this has helped you

SOURCE: Kia Rio Wheel Bearing ( replaced mulitple times )

I've replaced the rear driver bearings 4 times in 6 months. The last time they went I was going 75 miles per hour on interstate 20 in the middle of nowhere. I had to be towed at a cost of over $400 to get to a place for repair. We found the outer bearing race seized up tight to the spindle. So a complete replacement of everything was necessary. Incidentally none of this occured til I had over 100,000 miles on the 04 rio sedan. I am now very skittish about driving any distance from home with the car even though all seems to be fine. I am hoping the spindle was just worn out before. Since it is now all new (even the backing plate) I can't imagine what could cause future problems. The other side has never given me a problem (passenger side rear). I used genuine kia parts this time as well with hopes that this will solve my problem. But I can tell you it will take some time to gain confidence in this car again if it is now okay. I've replaced bearings frequently over the years in many cars but never found any as cantankerous as this korean wonder. If anyone has any feedback regarding this issue please write.

SOURCE: on 2002 kia rio front whel bearing how do I determine what size bearing spacer I need when replace wheel bearings

If you’re new wheel set up do not have the proper offset, it will cause the wheel to rub the inner wheel base or drum. Installing wheel spacers can create extra spaces to push the wheels outward to correct the problem. I am always using my vehicle wheel spacers from Customadeonly.com and its very helpful for me. Yes you can choose your spacer size slightly LESS than this dimension. I hope it will be help you.

In order to remove the front wheel bearings without press hub off the bearing and then the bearing out of the knuckle. To do the first step need a a Support Bridge. It is a special tool. Make bridge and use a general bearing pulled kit to replace bearings. use a "Front Wheel Drive Bearing Removal Adapters Puller Pulley Tool Set Kit" .To replace the bearing, remove front CV shaft taking care not to move the CV shaft too far out .
