Your vehicle has a PCM not TCM . PCM - powertrain control module . Has both the transmission an engine control inside one module. Where ever the engine computer is under the hood that's where the transmission control is .
If the transmission is full of fluid. please go here to read the problems with the pressure control module--http://repairpal.com/transmission-pressure-control-solenoid-failure-may-cause-erratic-shifting-593, Hope this helps, chevy impala pcm may cause erratic shifting.
Hello, the 2003 impala's dont have a transmission modulator valve. this transmission is electronic controlled by the power train control module. the transmission uses a pressure control sol. inside the transmission instead of a vac. operated modulator valve. if you are having a late harsh shifting problem, this would be more in the area of a pressure control sol. at fault
that has not been used since the 70's on cars without a computer controlling the transmission if one was present the part would have a vacuum hose going to it on the outside of the transmissionl
