SOURCE: I need to know where the thermostat is in a 2004 DODGE DAKOTA 3.7

follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, drain about 1/2 gallon of coolant and then pull upper hose off at the engine, look inside the metal large nipple, that is the thermostat.

Need to know the firing order

For all Dodge V8 truck engines, the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. For all Dodge V6 truck engines, the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. For Dodge inline 6 cylinder engines, the firing order is For all Dodge 4 cylinder engines, the firing order is 1-3-4-2 All dodge distributors rotate clockwise.

look at your distributor cap while standing on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Start at number 1, which is labelled on the cap, and go
clockwise

Car is not breathing correctly

The throttle sensor is on the side of throttle body opposite the throttle cable from otherside. If you can use the scanner to read the voltage with key on, slowly depress accelerator and watch for any erratic voltage jump. You may also want to check vehicle speed sensor reading with the scanner while some else is driving. Erratic voltage/signal reading from this sensor can make the vehicle buck and surge also.

1`992 dodge v6

Did you replace the fuel filter? That is the first place to look when you can't get full power on acceleration.
