Sometimes the car es good sometimes not.

oh my goodness!, to turn the horn sound (when you unlock the doors) up or down on a 1997 es, reach under the steering wheel under the dash and you'll feel a knob there. turn it. I have this car and found the knob last night, turned it, realized what it was for.

Unplug the fan on sensor. It should have one green wire and one black wire. Use a paper clip and jump the two wires. Turn the key to the run position, the engine does not need to be running. Does the fan come on? If not check the green wire for 12 volts and the black wire for ground. If there is no ground than run a new ground wire. If the is no power check the heater/air conditioning fuse in the under dash fuse block. If there is power and ground make sure both the cooling fan fuses are good and both the cooling fan relays are good.

check the air filter its clogged or if you replaced it its no good

Sounds to be in your pig tail. Might take some electronic spry cleaner , WD/40 work sometimes. Should just be in the connection. good luck

Their is a fuse box under the driver side dash, and their is one under the hood but I'm not exatly sure were at under the hood hope this helps

sounds like battery is weak, or one of the big cables is loose or corroded

this is typical problem on these models. Replace or rebuild the transmission, you may replace with a V6 camry transmission. Years 92-93 will fit. Hopefully this helps

sounds like you have a fuel filter thats plugging up, when you start an engine it pressurizes the fuel filter and gunk that has settled gets pushed to the outlet, when you shut it down it depressurizes and the gunk settles again, so everytime you start you get and engine that sometimes runs good or sometimes runs bad until something in the filter lodges in a bad place and then it wont run at all. Im not sure where the fuel filter is, but i can find out if youd like, just let me know.
now another thing is the fuel pump may be beginning to fail, if you have an in tank fuel pump the filter may be there also, some rigs have a small filter with the pump and a larger more efficient one on the link. if you can get under the rig look for two or more 5/15 or 3/8 steel tube lines, usally mounted to the frame, running toward the front of the rig. an external filter will be probably mounted to the frame or in the engine compartment.
the fuel filter is where i would start.
if you can find it, see if you can take it off (engine not running), fuel filters have to go on one way, some have an arrow showing the direction of the fuel travel and some dont, make sure if you put it back on that you do it exactly as it came off.
once you get the fuel filter off, blow thru it in the direction of fuel travel and see if there is any resistance, if good there shouldnt be much, if there is, then replace it.

do you have spark? How do you know if your timing belt is good? sometimes it doesnt break just shed the teeth which could be missing under the crankshaft. The best way to check is to have two people. have one try to start the car and see if the camshaft is actually spinning. The crankshaft will always turn but if the teeth are gone on timing belt this would cause the belt to stay in one position not moving the camshaft. so if you can remove the upper timing belt cover and do this quick inspection with someone that will tell you for sure. if it does look like it is spinning then by hand turn engine very slowly with plug coil wires removed. and make sure teeth are all there. It couldve jumped timing. (valve timing)
