Sounds very bad, do compression test with vehicle disabled, do a coolant pressure test too and test the cooling system too. Listen for engine knocking or a hole in the aluminum block, look for intake leak or head gasket leak. Could also be just the oil pressure sending unit broke.

SOURCE: puddle of oil on garage floor under passenger side of engine

Please drive to a garage and let an expert examine if there is an oil leakage from your oil swunp or the oil filter is not well fitted.

It could be that the gear box has shifted too.

good luck. Do this fast on time.

SOURCE: after driving home from work,

if it is coming from up top it might be the cam cover or the seal at the front-put in enough oil to read it on the dip stick and start it up, if it is that bad it should be obvious

Great Wall V240 2010 dual cab. There's acrack somewhere in the window washer bottle but the bottle is situated behind the left hand guard under the bonnet. Any ideas on how to get to it. Pete.

All I can suggest is to go in through the wheel arch. SAFELY jack the car up onto axle stands. Remove the wheel on that side. Remove the wheel arch liner. You should be able to see how to remove the bottle from there. The leak might just be a loose pipe or a loose washer pump/motor so check those first.

What is the white plastic bottle at the left hand side rear of Astra engine bay

The Astra has been around since the late 1970's and has gone through many changes since then and there are also territorial and performance/trim level variants to consider. The vehicle handbook is the place to look for information specific to your model though if the bottle has a screw cap it is probably the coolant reservoir/coolant expansion bottle/cooling system degassing tank...

2010 equinox power steering fluid

The 2010 v6 has a power steering dip stick below the engine cover. Take off the oil cap, grab the plastic engine cover on each side and lift it off (it snaps off and on). Put the oil cap back on so you don\'t lose it. You will see the power steering dipstick at the top of the engine. This only applies to the v6. Mine was loud, and I added a bit of fluid and it was fine.

Where is the windscreen washer bottle on a Nissan Micra 1.5, 2 door, TDI, 2010?

It is located on the drivers side in front of the engine dip stick (yellow) along the front frame where the bonnet closes against with a blue plastic cap, this is on a right hand drive model. If it is missing your vehicle may have been involved in an accident and as with a lot of Australian vehicles, not repaired properly (why the government has change laws on smashed vehicles)!!!

I have a 2002 VW Golf. Over the last few months the coolant light has come on, and after driving for a while it goes off. When back in the car again in comes on. Where do I look under the bonnet to see...

inside the radiator bottle is the sensor, alot of times can fix by removing bottle and rinse out up side down with garden hose, if don't fix then would have to replace bottle

Ford galaxy 1996 v6 ghia x warning light at temp gauge flashes all the time

If this is a red flashing light beneath the temperature guage it means that you do not have enough coolant. Top up the large white ball shaped reservior at the right hand side of the engine compartment just behind the battery.

Bonnet wont open on reault laguna

There are two release catches about 15" to the right and left of the centre safety catch. Roughly at each end of the top of the radiator.

The bonnet release cable goes first to the right hand one then there is a wire from that to the left, in a daisy chain way. They are typically French, cables fit into plastic levers ( a bit like bike brakes) not metal which break easily. replacements are not cheap. You need to be able to pull the cable to both catches to get the bonnet up. I managed to do this from underneath. In my case the, left hand one was broken and right hand one was working, but the getting it open broke the bit that that pulls the left. Managed to away with buying just one new catch as they are identical, swopping the right partly broken one over to the left side.
