Hello dysone...Is this a 5.7 litre engine?...Why were the heads replaced on this engine? Did it overheat and crack one..or blow a head gasket? Were BOTH heads replaced, or just one? How many miles does the engine have on it? Yes, you could have damaged some valve train componets if you over-tightened the rockers. Possible bent pushrods, collapsed lifters, or even bent a valve.
Did you check the engine block for warpage..was the deck straight and true?
Were the new heads properly torqued when installed? Did you reuse the old head bolts or replace them? Many factors to consider here...If you can tell me a little more i may be able to provide you with more answers.
Good luck...i hope this helps.
To properly adjust, refer to the vehicles maintenance manual.

Ok I assumed that. Do you think this could be the problem though? I mean the compression gauge is flatlined - nothing. I can hear escaping from the intake manifold though. Also, do you know if this is an interference engine? The mechanical timing of the engine was never altered as the timing chain was never removed. Could I have damaged the engine by tightening all of the rocker arm bolts all the way down?
