2001. Why does it cut off while being driven?

3.0 timing belt driven, if a 3.3 or 3.8 serpentine belt driven,darin cooling system,remove serp belt,remove water pump pully & pry motor over to left while feeding the pully past the rt frame rail,unbolt water pump then reverse what you took off.

The water pump on the Duratec 30 on the 2001 Mercury Sable is driven by a separate belt on the driver's side of the engine. You can see the belt easily form the top of the engine compartment. The pump is driven by a belt from one of the overhead camshafts in the front bank of cylinders. The diagraom that is provided does not go to the water pump on the 24-valve 3.0 liter in the 2001 Sable.

You have a blown head gasket but to be sure have a cooling pressure test done to determine where the leak actually is. You can pull the plugs out & perform a compression test to determine which bank is leaking & at what cylinder. Good luck!

I have a 1997 626 2.0L 5speed when im driven it like rev limits cuts out around 3500-4000rpm, and when i rev it up and past 4000rpm it stalls, anyone have a idea whats wrong??? thanks i just replaced the crank sensor and egr and still. good power put cuts out

Has trans valve body issue. Common occurance.

One or more of your fuses are cut off. Try checking your underdash fuse box.
