Why doesn't the button inside open the trunk?

Mar 12, 2008 - I had a question regarding installing a trunk release. Since there is noneinside the car, a key is necessary to open the trunk. ... Hit the unlock button on the key fob twice (to unlock all the doors) and as EV says, walk over and press ... So thereis no way to open ther versa HATCH without the the key remote? trunk release inside the rogue?

Do you have a button on the trunk itself? Mine wont open from inside car, but I have a 2011 checy cruze, and theres a button under the trunk, that pushes in and it opens

If it has the electric trunk release, the button could be in the glove box.
Otherwise you may have to remove the back seat to gain entry to the trunk.

OPEN MANUALLY AND CHECK THE STRUTS PS. IF WHEN YOU OPEN IT AND IT GOES BACK DOWN THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM

check the fuse box for fused fuse and replace them with the corresponding fuses.

If you hear the sound of the electric latch switch, then it's working but stuck somehow. Just put the key in the switch and turn it to the right and then pull up the trunk or ask someone to help you. it will open. I tried it today and it opened with me. It was stuck from inside by some kind of a broken plastic pieces. Just removed it and now it's working fine. good luck

sounds like you have 2 probs if you turn ign on whilst holding valet button pressed it should cancel it if not the key is poss faulty

i'm not 100% sure with that vehicle, but you might be able to remove the back seat to gain access to the trunk

inside the trunk near the latch is a switch that kills the trunk remote

Use the trunk open button in the clove box.
