How do I get my 91 Volvo 940 Se passenger seat back in?
I understand that there is a hole for the pins to fit in then the seat slides forward. I can't get the seat to slide forward and can't figure out why. I have installed these seats in the past with no problem

There's probably something in the way. Get under and behind the seat with a flashlight and check the back end of the rails to see if something is there.
Regarding the passenger seat, to allow someone into the back seat, push the seat back lever DOWN. This will flip the back of the seat forward and allow the seat to slide forward. Simply push firmly on the seat back (no need to touch the lever) and it will return to its original position.
If you pull the seat back lever UP, you can adjust the recline angle of the seat back. Pulling the lever UP will also let you fold the seat and slide it forward, however, it will not return to its original position.
just fixed mine - passenger side. I had to take the seat out, only (2) bolts in the back and (1) wiring connection. the handle has a hole that fits on a pin then connects to the plastic clip. very simple, I would bet nothing is broken just I could not do it with the seat in the car. once the seat was out about 30 seconds it was back on.
hope this helps
about 240.00 according to the volvo dr. ,fountain vally ,ca. An elect. part behind the speedo. is the problem . My 91 940 speedo stops working at 45 mph. thats what they told me. good luck, pete.
take off trim along lower door jamb, remove cover between doors. unbolt torques type bolt holding upper seat belt.same with the lower or floor connection bolt. need to buy large torques bit!! attn.. theres a elect. conn. to reconnect on the new or used belts, srs light may half to be reset at dlr. good luck !!
you will need to check to make sure no coins fell into the track and is jammed it if not you will need to replace the bottom frame of the seat possible with a junk yard one much cheaper than buying new and junkyard frames come complete.
