Try checking the handbook. Have you tried contacting Mercedes technical support? Also, try searching online for a wiring diagram. The fuse layout should be in there.

SOURCE: Mercedes C320 steering column & seat convenience feature

Honestly, this is a recurring problem with the c-class. There is a certain range(dependent on how far back a person sets his/her seat), that screws with the computer programming and it loses the synchronization on how far to move it forward/back. The tech most likely already reset the seat parameters to get to work for awhile, but I might be inclined to take it back and let them have another go at it anyway, just to make sure. I don't recall any real repair for this problem, but I do know M-B stopped including this feature for a reason.

SOURCE: 1991 chevy ck1500 steering column

in order to fix this you will need a steering wheel puller and a press I can't remember the name of it but once you get the wheel off you have to press the ring and then get the lock off and then it is pretty simple you can do it with a flat bar and some sockets bot the proper tools are cheap enough that they are always handy

SOURCE: drivers side power seat and steering column don't work

i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.

i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.

SOURCE: how to fix the tilt steering.. won't go down even when you push the auto button. My heated seats ain't workin either..(driver & passenger seat)

Most often, the stuck steering wheel is a result of a faulty 'tilt relay switch.' If you attempt to use the tilt switch and you can hear a clicking/whirring noise, then its your relay switch, if not, it may be the motor that is broken.

SOURCE: driver power seat adjustment and steering tilt not

It would appear that the relay is misfunctioning. Try swapping one from nearby and when your car won't start but your seats operate then you'll know what to do. THanks, Dana

What do I look for to fix the Power seats and power tilt steering has no power

A control module ! Electronics The steering column has a tilt/telescoping control system that consists of an electronic control module capable of class 2 serial data communication, a steering column power assembly with positioning motor and sensor, and a steering column control switch. The multi-function lever provides for the control of the headlamp high beams, and the windshield washer and wiper.
The tilt/telescoping steering column in/out/up/down switch is an input to the driver position module (DPM). The tilt/telescoping drive motor is an output function of the DPM.
Steering column memory settings are stored in the DPM. The steering column position sensor is an internal part of the tilt/telescoping motor assemblies, and is an input to the DPM. The DPM uses the position sensor input when storing and recalling memory settings.
Same thing with the seats , electronic control module .
Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to the memory seat module (MSM) through the battery positive voltage circuit from the POWER SEATS circuit breaker located instrument panel (I/P) fuse block. This voltage is used to power up MSM and also to apply power to the seat motors when commanded. Battery positive voltage from the TILT/TELE SW/MEM SEAT MOD fuse located in the body control module (BCM) fuse block that supplies voltage to the seat adjuster switch and the memory function switch, also supplies voltage to the MSM. The MSM monitors this voltage circuit in order to determine if battery voltage is supplied to the seat adjuster switch. The MSM is grounded through the module ground circuit and G301.

Front passenger power seat quit working

Check the fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip over the plastic fuse box cover lid and you will find a diagram that shows what fuse controls the seat. Replace that fuse with the same number fuse.

Steering wheel tilt lock on a 2004 c230 coupe not locking

There is a electronic motor that is attacked to the steering wheel to allow you to adjust it, I would not get involved in that location if you have no working knowledge of the vehicle. The Air Bag wires run up and down the channels near the steering wheel and can cause deployment if you are not careful, take it to a mercedes technician to help you out.
