High beams work for both lights, 1 low beam does not

So my passanger headlight low beam went out. replaced it wiht a new bulb, the high beams work fine, but the low beam doesnt. Someone said it could be electrical, but the wires look ok i guess. any ideas? I checked all the fuses and they all work fine.

Check for power with a test light with the light connected. If you have power then its the ground. If no power then you will need to trace the wire back to find break. As I recall they did have seperate fuse for left and right headlight high & low beam. Also did you get a defective new bulb?

One low beam head lights will not work, high beam works though

check for a damaged wire for the low beam. Also wouldn't hurt to check the ground wire as the high beam will try and ground through the low beam but not visa verse

I have a 95 SC2. The high beam headlight on the passanger side does not work. Both low beams work, and when the high beams are turned on, the right side goes out completley. I tried a new light and then...

According to the wiring diagram, there is no relay involved.
The headlight switch provides the ground for the lights and they get power from a fuse for each side. So the high and low beam on one side is powered by the same fuse and the ground is thru the switch.
Could be the switch but chances are a wiring problem.

I have a 2005 chev impala can i replace my high beams headlights with just low beam lights

NO YOU HAVE TO REPLACE HIGH BEAM LIGHT BULBS WITH HIGH BEAM LIGHT BULBS BECAUSE HIGH BEAM LIGHT BULBS AND LOW BEAM LIGHT BULBS TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF BULBS.WEAR CLEAN LATEX GLOVES HANDLING THE HEADLIGHT BULBS WHICH IS HALOGEN LIGHT BULBS, OIL FROM FINGERS OR HAND WILL CAUSE HALOGEN BULBS TO OVER HEAT BLOW OUT.

I startup engine, then, turned headlights. The headlights had been on about 2 seconds, then, both headlights were suddenly off. High beam lights are ok. Today, I went to AutoZone and changed new fuse (15a)...

Maybe the low beam of both headlights blew up. Headlight bulbs have 2 coils, 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam. Just like a regular light bulb, when the coil breaks the light doesn't work. But the high beams are still ok. If you've never changed em, 8 years come around its probably around time to replace them. If you can, see if you can remove the bulbs. It's pretty easy, for most cars its just locate where the lights are located under the hood, then turn the headlight bulb housing counter clockwise and should pull out. inspect it for any broken coils. if you need to replace both, get the part number or take it to a parts store and ask an employee for help. If you reinstall it yourself, be sure not to let your fingers touch the new bulb. if you do, clean it with rubbing alcohol before you put it back in the housing.

Headlights went out. Replaced bulbs and switch and still lights don't work. Fog lights and high beams work? What else can work?

If high beams work and low beams do not, then it is probably the high/low relay. It is part number 15016745 and has four prongs. To test if your relay has gone bad locate the relay in your fuse box. There will be two of these relays located next to each other. One controls the low beam headlights and the other the cooling fan. Swap the relays and check your low beam headlights. If the low beams work you have a bad relay.

Low beam not work !!

replace the headlight bulbs. Usually when the bulbs blow out the low beam blows out first, but the high beams still work. If you want and need both low and high beams to work then replace the headlight bulbs with brand new ones and I garauntee that both low and high beams will work
