Are all the lights out? If so, then it is a fuse or wiring. If just the speedo is out, you have to remove the instrument panel and replace the bulbs.

Is the problem a blown fuse? If so , you should be able to find it. Just check all the fuses until you get the bad one.
Or is it more complicated than that?

You can find a replacement instrument cluster, either used or rebuilt and that should solve the problem.
A service technician can run diagnostics on your car and should be able to pull the mileage from the Body computer.

2001 Buick Legal LS dash board mileage light is very dim, the svs light and antilock light stay on

If the dashboard mileage light on your 2001 Buick Regal LS is very dim and the Service Vehicle Soon (SVS) light and antilock light stay on, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some things you can check:
  1. Dim dashboard light: If the dashboard mileage light is very dim, it could be due to a burnt-out bulb or a problem with the dimmer switch. Try turning up the brightness using the dimmer switch, and if that doesn't work, check the bulb and replace it if necessary.
  2. SVS light and antilock light: The SVS light and antilock light staying on could indicate a problem with the car's computer system or with the antilock brake system. It could be caused by a faulty sensor, a wiring issue, or a problem with the computer itself. It's recommended to have the car's computer system scanned for error codes to determine the root cause of the issue.
  3. Battery or charging system: A weak battery or faulty alternator can cause electrical issues in the car, which could be related to the dim dashboard light and the warning lights staying on. Have the battery and charging system checked to rule out this possibility.

Volvo 2001, V70 SW: Backlights on LCD readouts on dashboard are out.

This is a common issue with this vehicle. The instrument cluster will need to be removed and either repaired or replaced.
If you replace it with a used replacement, you will not have your original mileage. I would send yours in for repair. Here is a link to a repair facility.

My dashboard lights dont work

Have someone check fuse under dashboard. Some dashboards have lights wired in series. If one light goes out, they all go out.

Do an online search for speedometer repair places. You can get yours rebuilt for a fraction of the price of new or junkyard

Inside panel does not light up.Which fuse do I replace and the location. I have the fuse box diagram, but I don't know how to read it.

I’m assuming that you are talking about your instrument panel lights.
First, make sure and check the dial on the dashboard to the left of the instrument panel. It controls the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Turn the dial to adjust the brightness. If it accidently got turned all the way down, you will have no instrument lights.
If that isn’t the problem, the interior fuse box is underneath the dashboard on the driver's side. Remove the fuse box lid by swinging the lid down and pulling it straight out of its hinges.
Fuse number 30 (7.5 amp) controls your instrument lights.
Hope this helps you.

Light blubs in Dashboard.

Hello scooterr1105,

If you have an all digital dash, then no, there is no light bulb to replace. It is a digital device, such as that of a calculator. While I am not familiar with these types of dashes, there may be some type of element in there that merely needs replaced. My Odemeter (milieage indicator) is lighted as such as well. I haven't had any issues with it as of yet, but I imagine there may be something to replace, rather than the whole part. I would call the manufacturer, or the dealer to research this more.

Thank you for choosing fixya.com. My apologize for not having a solution for you that would fix it.

No instrument panel lights on a 2003 chevy monte carlo

Most likely this is caused by either the dimmer being turned off (happens all the time on my Corvette) or the dimmer is defective.
